Interesting! Did the battery replacement completely fix the problem, or did you still need a transmission flush or oil change? I'm trying to decide if I should address the voltage issue before working on the transmission itself. I'm considering getting the oil tested before paying for a replacement.

For me, a new battery fixed most of the problem. Shifting was much smoother. But, I still replaced the transmission oil a week later for peace of mind. It was like giving the gearbox a fresh start. If you're seeing emergency mode, it's worth checking with a workshop's diagnostic tool. They can pinpoint the issue, and maybe the oil analysis will help avoid unnecessary work.

Thanks for the insight! It seems you've been through a lot. I had the car checked, and undervoltage was the main issue. I replaced the battery, and the transmission problems disappeared. I also decided to replace the transmission oil. The total was 240€, but it drives like a new car. Your experience was very helpful!

That sounds frustrating! I had similar issues with my GLA, though I don't recall the year. It felt like driving a bucking bronco! The transmission was throwing fits. Check your battery and alternator first; that's where undervoltage likes to hide. Transmission oil can cause problems, but undervoltage messes with everything.
