Can you elaborate on your experience Was the motor replacement straightforward, or did it require specialized tools or expertise Did you attempt a DIY fix, or did you opt for professional intervention immediately

In my case, I opted for professional intervention without attempting a DIY fix I lack the necessary tools and, frankly, the confidence to dismantle interior components The workshop confirmed the defective motor diagnosis and proceeded with the replacement They mentioned that accessing the motor requires partial disassembly of the headliner, which is a delicate process best left to experienced technicians I recommend you consider the same Better safe than sorry

Your input has been invaluable I shall proceed with a workshop visit, knowing that a motor replacement is the likely remedy Thank you for sharing your experiences and confirming my suspicions I appreciate the time you invested in your responses

I had a similar issue with my GLA's sun blind The symptoms you describe are almost identical The car interior's window visor would not move and seemed completely unresponsive It sounds like the motor is indeed the prime suspect It is quite annoying, especially considering that it affects the car interior and driving comfort I also thought that the problem was related to the electrical system, but it turned out to be a mechanical defect
