GLA hybrid uneven idling engine mount issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 GLA Hybrid was experiencing uneven idling, suspected to be due to a defective engine mount. Uneven idling and vibrations can be caused by a faulty engine or transmission mount, often linked to loose or defective cable connections. After inspection, it was confirmed that a loose cable caused the engine mount to malfunction, leading to the issue. Once the cable was secured, the problem was resolved, and the vehicle ran smoothly again.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I did notice vibrations. The error memory also has a stored error. My mechanic suspects a defective cable or plug connection. Did yours also show an error?

Yes, I had an error code too, though I don't recall the exact code number. The shop confirmed it was a defective engine mount after inspecting the cable and plug connections. A faulty connection can definitely cause the mount to malfunction, leading to the uneven idling and vibrations you're experiencing. I would advise you to visit the workshop.

Appreciate the advice. It was indeed the engine mount. Apparently, the cable was indeed loose, which caused the mount to not function correctly. 95€ later and it's running smoothly again. Thanks!

I had a similar issue with my GLA, though it's not a hybrid. Uneven idling can definitely point to a motor mount problem. If the engine isn't properly secured, it's gonna shake and vibrate, especially at idle. Did you notice any excessive vibrations in the cabin, maybe when stopped at a light? It could also be the transmission mount acting up, causing similar symptoms. Mount failure can be tricky to diagnose without a proper inspection.
