GLC Cruise Control Problem

Cruise control not working on my Mercedes GLC. It's a 2016 with a gasoline engine. The cruise control just quit. There's an error stored. Could it be the speed sensor or something else?

I had something similar happen on my GLC. Check the clock spring and the cable/plug connections in the steering wheel. A defective connection there might cause the cruise control to fail and trigger a dashboard light.

Clock spring eh? Where exactly is that located, and is it a big job to get to? I'm wondering if it's something I can check myself before heading to the shop.

It's inside the steering wheel. Honestly, messing with the steering wheel isn't a great idea if you're not super comfortable. Airbags and all that. The error code points to a possible defective cable or plug connection. My issue was similar, and the shop fixed it quick.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the shop as you suggested. Turns out it was a defective plug connection like you mentioned. They fixed the cable for 95€. Cruise control is working again!
