GLC Hybrid Engine Stalling

I drive a GLC petrol version. I experienced something similar a while back. The check engine light came on, and the engine would stall at idle, especially when cold. Did you notice any change in fuel efficiency before this happened? Maybe some engine misfire too? I'd suggest checking sensor readings, as a faulty sensor can trigger the check engine light.

The issue was a defective high-pressure fuel pump. This delivers fuel at the correct pressure to the engine. When it fails, it can cause those symptoms. The engine may not receive enough fuel, leading to stalling, reduced power, and a check engine light. Take your GLC to a qualified workshop for a diagnosis. They should be able to confirm if it is the high-pressure fuel pump or another component in the fuel system. Early diagnosis can prevent further damage.

Thanks for the advice. The workshop confirmed it was the fuel volume regulator, which they said is part of the high-pressure pump. Repair cost me 1510€. At least it's sorted now.
