GLE diesel rough acceleration and error codes

My 2015 GLE diesel has a serious jerking issue during acceleration The check engine light is on and the OBD scanner shows engine misfire and air intake problems I've noticed a drop in engine performance and stalling at idle It runs rough with a strong exhaust smell I suspect a leaking intake manifold due to scorching Has anyone experienced something similar The initial repair estimate is 1180€ Any insights before I replace the manifold sensor

I visually inspected the manifold, but didn't find anything obvious What exactly did you experience, and what was the ultimate fix Did you also get engine misfire codes Was it related to the manifold sensor at all

Yeah, similar codes In the end, the intake manifold was the culprit, it was leaking A mechanic confirmed it Replacing it sorted everything out I'd advise getting it properly diagnosed at a workshop, could save you money in the long run

Thanks for the advice I took it to a trusted mechanic Turns out, the intake manifold was indeed cracked and leaking It cost me 1180€ to replace, but the engine is running smoothly again The check engine light is finally off, and the engine performance is back to normal Appreciate the insight
