GLE Door Lock Failure Electrical Issue

Has anyone else experienced GLE door lock failure electrical issues on a 2023 gasoline model?

I had a similar electrical issue with the doors on my old Volvo a while back. The symptoms sound pretty similar, with doors refusing to lock or unlock consistently. It turned out to be a faulty door switch. Have you checked the fuses related to the doors and the central locking system? That would be the first thing to check before assuming it's a deeper electrical issue or car sensor problem.

Door switch? Where exactly is that located? And which fuses are you referring to? I've checked a couple, but there are so many.

The door switch is usually integrated into the door latch mechanism itself, or sometimes it's part of the door handle assembly. As for the fuses, check your owner's manual. There should be a diagram that shows which fuse controls the central locking and the doors. It's worth noting, given it's a model from this year, the car sensor might be the culprit. If fuses are fine, it might be best to get it checked at a workshop. My Volvo issue was a corroded connector that caused the contact signal problem.

Thanks for the tip. Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. They found a defective cable/plug connection to the door switch. Repair cost was 95€. Appreciate the help!
