GLE Driving Mode Error and Warning Signals

My 2015 Mercedes GLE with a gasoline engine is showing sporadic error messages related to driving mode selection and various warning signals. I'm also seeing failures in audio and navigation, and control units sometimes shut down. My OBD-II scan tool shows errors. I've been inspecting cable connections. Could a defective cable connection to the BUS system be the cause, or am I missing something? The service required warning keeps appearing.

I have a GLE too, and I had similar problems a while back. I kept getting random warning signals and my control module seemed to be acting up. Have you checked the connections thoroughly?

Thanks for the response. When you had similar issues, did your scan tool point to specific error codes, or was it a more general communication fault? I want to make sure I'm not missing anything obvious before I dig deeper. Which connections did you check?

Honestly, I cannot recall the exact error codes. It was some time ago. But, yes, it presented as a general communication issue. I suggest taking it to a workshop. It will save you a lot of time.

Thanks for your input. I had the cable connections of the control unit inspected at a trusted workshop. A defective connection to the BUS system was identified. The repair cost was 155€. The warning signal is now gone. Thank you again for pointing me in the right direction.
