So, you mean going into the COMAND system and deleting all the previously connected phones? I've paired a few devices over the years, so that's definitely a possibility. When you say 'similar problem', did it also affect other functions, or was it just the phone connection for you? Did you ever have any error messages stored?

Yep, that's exactly what I mean, deleting all the paired devices. In my case, it was mainly the phone connection that was messed up, although I did notice the navigation acting a bit strange a couple of times. I also had an error message stored, but I don't remember the exact code. If clearing the pairings doesn't work, you might need to have the dealer check the Bluetooth module itself; it might be faulty. Though for me, deleting and re-pairing did the trick. If all else fails, getting it scanned at a workshop is your best bet.

I cleared all the pairings and that seems to have fixed it. Phone connected straight away, and the error message is gone. Seems like it was just a corrupted pairing as you suggested. The workshop confirmed that the error was related to the pairing. They cleared the error memory and charged me 45€ for the diagnostic. I appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem with my GLE. The system thought the phone was already paired, so it wouldn't let me connect a new one. Have you tried deleting all the existing Bluetooth pairings from the car's system and then trying to re-pair your phone? It might be an incorrect pairing. Does the car recognize any other devices or is it just your smartphone that's having issues?
