Thanks for the quick response Where exactly should I be looking for these connections Is it something easily accessible, or will I need to remove trim panels or other components to get to them

The connections are behind the steering wheel and near the throttle position sensor. Given the complexity of the system and your description, I recommend taking your vehicle to a qualified workshop for diagnosis and repair. A professional technician will be able to pinpoint the exact location of the defective cable or plug connection and perform the necessary repairs. The estimated repair cost was 95€.

Thanks so much for your help I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a faulty connection. They fixed it for about that price. Cruise control is working again

I had a similar issue with my GLK. The cruise control stopped functioning, and a diagnostic scan revealed a stored error. In my case, it turned out to be a defective cable or plug connection related to the cruise control system. I suggest you check the wiring and connectors associated with the cruise control module. Inspect them for any signs of damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
