GLK gasoline engine rough running and stalling

My 2013 Mercedes GLK with a gasoline engine is having issues. The check engine light is on, it runs rough, stalls at idle, and jerks when accelerating. I think it might be a bad fuel pressure sensor. Could a faulty cable or plug connection be the reason for these fuel system and engine misfire issues, especially with fuel delivery?

Check engine light and stalling does sound like fuel delivery. A bad fuel pressure sensor could be it, but before you replace it, have you checked the wiring harness and connector to the sensor? Maybe there's corrosion or a loose connection. What trouble codes are you seeing?

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you tell me how to properly check the wiring harness and connector? I'm not really sure how to do that.

I'm not an expert either. Check for any visible damage to the wires, like fraying or cracking. The connector should be clean and secure. It's probably not that simple, but it's worth a try. If it all looks good, a shop might be best. They’ll have the tools to diagnose the fuel system right.

I appreciate the advice. It was a bad plug connection to the fuel pressure sensor, like I thought. It cost 95€ to fix. Thanks again for the help.
