GLK Rain Light Sensor Issue

Thanks for the reply. I haven't replaced the windshield and don't see damage near the sensor. Is there a specific fuse for the rain-light sensor? Where should I look for it?

No windshield replacement, no visible damage, and unsure about the fuses. I was in the same boat. Fuse box diagrams are usually in the owner's manual, and you might find one for the sensor. But based on my experience, those bubbles are probably the problem. The best solution is a workshop visit. It's a cheap repair, and they can diagnose it quickly. Why spend hours troubleshooting when a pro can pinpoint it in minutes?

I appreciate the insight and confirmation of the likely cause. A workshop visit seems best. I'll schedule an appointment to address the gel pad bubbles. They quoted me 62€ for the gel pad replacement. Thanks for the help!

That sounds very familiar! I also drive a GLK. Rain sensors are great when they work, but a pain when they don't! Your symptoms match what I dealt with. Bubbles under the gel pad... could that be it? Have you replaced the windshield recently, or noticed any damage near the sensor? Did you check the fuses?
