GLK Tire Pressure Monitoring System Issue

Experiencing a persistent TPMS issue with my 2011 GLK diesel Tire pressure consistently low and error messages appear on the speedometer Error is also stored in the system memory Suspect the tire pressure sensor battery is depleted Has anyone seen this before The pressure gauge confirms the low tire pressure and tire inflation doesnt solve it

I had a similar low tire issue with my GLK, but I think it was a slightly different problem Have you checked the air pressure with a manual pressure gauge to make sure it matches what the system is reporting It could be a faulty sensor or even just a slow leak in the tire itself

Yes, I did check with a manual pressure gauge The reading confirms the low tire pressure indicated by the system, so it's unlikely to be a simple calibration error What was your issue, and how did you resolve it Could you please elaborate on the potential causes

Ah, okay In my case, the error was a bit weird and intermittent Eventually, I took it to a workshop They diagnosed it as a faulty TPMS sensor and recommended replacing it It might be best to get it checked professionally; they can pinpoint the exact cause more easily

I took it to the workshop As suspected, it was indeed the TPMS sensor with an empty battery The repair cost was around 280€ Hopefully, this will resolve the annoying error messages
