GLS Hybrid Fuel Composition Error
Summary of the thread
A 2023 GLS Hybrid exhibited a fuel composition error, resulting in a check engine light and engine stalling at idle. The error code suggested a possible defective connection, which was confirmed by another individual who experienced a similar issue related to the fuel mixture. The recommended solution was to consult a qualified mechanic, who identified and resolved a loose connection, addressing the problem.

Thanks for the info When you say similar was it exactly the same error code and did it also point to a cable or plug connection issue

While the exact error code eludes my memory, the diagnosis revolved around a faulty connection affecting the fuel system's ability to correctly assess fuel composition. Considering your hybrid engine and the potential for damage to the combustion chamber, I strongly advise consulting a qualified mechanic. A defective connection can easily lead to an incorrect fuel mixture and potentially cause engine knock. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I haven't experienced the stalling issue myself, but I've had a similar check engine light on my GLS. It was related to the fuel mixture being off. The error memory indicated a problem with the fuel composition. I'd be concerned about potential engine knock if the fuel mixture is consistently incorrect and impacting fuel economy. Have you noticed any changes in performance besides the stalling?
