GLS Hybrid Reduced Engine Power

My 2023 Mercedes GLS hybrid exhibits reduced engine power A fault code is present Vehicle diagnostics indicate a potential issue stemming from faulty chip tuning implemented by third-party providers The mileage is currently at 190890 km Has anyone encountered a similar fault code situation I am trying to ascertain the likely root cause before scheduling service

I have a GLS too A while back, my dashboard light came on and the car felt sluggish I plugged in a cheap auto scanner and it showed some generic engine fault Turns out, it was a sensor issue messing with the engine's performance Have you tried using a car diagnostic tool yourself to get the exact fault code Might give you a better clue than just 'error memory'

Thank you for the insight Do you recall the specific fault code you encountered I am attempting to correlate potential causes before proceeding with more in-depth diagnostics

Honestly, I don't remember the exact fault code It was something about the air intake, I think What I do remember is that the reduced engine power feeling was pretty much identical If I were you, I'd seriously consider taking it to a reputable workshop Messing with a hybrid's engine management system can be tricky, especially if the fault code points towards a tuning issue Best to let professionals handle it before things get worse
