Hello, thank you very much for your reply and the helpful tip! I really wouldn't have thought that it could possibly be a software problem. How much did it cost you to have the ECU reprogrammed in the workshop, if I may ask? And has anything similar occurred again since then or is everything running smoothly now? Thanks again and have a good trip with your Mini! Regards.

Hello, you're welcome! It was actually the case with me once that the GPS antenna was defective. After a visit to the workshop, however, it was fixed and everything has been running smoothly ever since. It cost me around 200 eggs, which I personally didn't think was too bad. I haven't had any more problems since the replacement. It's just one of those things with software, sometimes it's one thing and sometimes something else. But it can usually be solved quickly in a good workshop, so it's definitely worth paying them a visit. So don't worry, they'll get it sorted and you'll definitely have peace of mind afterwards. Good luck and keep driving safely! Best regards.

Hi, great, thanks for the info! I'm glad to hear that you didn't have any further problems after the repair. The 200 eggs seems fair enough to solve the problem. So I will definitely take my Mini to the garage and have it checked there. Thanks for your advice and wishes! Hopefully it's just a simpler problem for me too. Wish you a great ride too! Regards.

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2012 Mini Cooper. It turned out to be a software problem and not an antenna problem. At my garage, they had to reprogram the ECU, which solved the problem. This could also be the case for you, as our car is from the same series and has similar symptoms. It wasn't a very serious problem, but it did take some time. I hope this might help. Good luck with your Cooper! Regards.
