Grandland X AC Problems

Hey, my 2023 Vauxhall Grandland X with a gasoline engine is having AC issues. Only 36k km on it. The air conditioning doesn't cool or switch on, and a warning light is on. The error memory has a stored error. Sounds like a defective AC control unit, right?

I had something similar happen with my Grandland X. AC just quit. Any weird noises before it went out? Like a struggling motor?

No weird noises, thankfully. Just stopped working suddenly. Was yours also the control unit?

Could be. It ended up being the refrigerant compressor itself. The workshop suspected the AC control unit first, but after checking, they confirmed the compressor failure. Cost me around 980€ to fix it. Worth checking out before you replace the whole unit!
