Grandland X Defrost Air Distribution Flap Fault

I'm experiencing a problem with my 2023 Vauxhall Grandland X diesel. It has 30767 km on the odometer. There's a fault related to the defrost air distribution flap. I'm getting an error and the heating output seems lower than expected. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

I had a similar problem with my Grandland X, although I didn't check the error memory myself. The heating was definitely weak. Have you checked the blower motor or the air circulation settings to rule out simpler causes?

Thanks for the input. I've verified the blower motor and the air circulation settings. Could you elaborate on the specifics of the issue you encountered?

Yes, in my case it turned out to be a faulty flap motor in the HVAC unit, similar to what you suspect. The workshop diagnosed it pretty quickly. I'd recommend getting it checked professionally before you start pulling things apart yourself.

I appreciate the confirmation. Based on your experience, I'll schedule an appointment at the repair shop. The diagnostic and repair cost 95€ and resolved the issue.
