Grandland X Engine Running Lean

I'm having trouble with my 2019 Vauxhall Grandland X diesel. It has 142217 km on the clock. The engine seems to be running lean, causing reduced power, a check engine light, rough performance, and jerking during acceleration. I've already replaced the spark plugs. Could this be the catalytic converter, throttle body, EGR valve, or mass air flow sensor?

I had similar problems with a 2014 Skoda Octavia recently: reduced power and a dash light. By "running too lean", do you mean the diagnostic codes suggest the engine is getting too much air relative to fuel?

Yes, precisely. The diagnostic indicates too much air, leading to a lean condition. The error codes point that way. What was the cause in your case?

I had to take my Skoda to a workshop. It turned out one of the fuel injectors was faulty. If the problem is the injectors, replacement or professional cleaning might be needed. Get yours checked.

Thanks for the insight! I had the injectors inspected, and one was defective. The repairs, including parts and labour, cost 515€, but the car is now running smoothly again. Your suggestion was spot on!
