Grandland X Fault Code
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Vauxhall Grandland X hybrid exhibited reduced engine power and stored a fault code, suggesting a potential issue with chip tuning. Despite no personal modifications, a diagnostic scan indicated chip tuning as the cause. A similar issue was resolved by addressing faulty third-party chip tuning, which was confirmed and fixed at a workshop for 180€.

Yeah, I ran a car diagnostic – points towards chip tuning. Though I've not done any modifications myself. What was the issue with yours exactly?

Mine turned out to be some dodgy third-party chip tuning someone must have done before I bought it. Nightmare! It's like, you think you're buying a loaf of bread, and someone's swapped it for a brick. Honestly, I'd get it checked at a workshop if I were you. Could be a simple fix, or it could be hiding something nastier.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to the shop – you were spot on, faulty chip tuning. Cost 180€ to sort out. Appreciate the help!

Ugh, fault codes are the WORST! I had something similar happen with my Grandland X (petrol, though). Limp mode kicked in, felt like the car was being strangled. Did you try scanning for the fault code? Might give you a clue. Was it after you put fuel in?
