Grandland X Hybrid Electrical Issues

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2019 Vauxhall Grandland X Hybrid (102367 km). I'm getting sporadic error messages about the driving mode and occasional warning lights. Sometimes the audio/navigation systems fail, and the control units temporarily shut down or become unresponsive. I checked the error memory, and it contains stored errors. Anyone else had similar problems?

Summary of the thread

A 2019 Vauxhall Grandland X Hybrid is experiencing sporadic error messages related to the driving mode, warning lights, and temporary failures in the audio/navigation systems and control units. The issue is intermittent, with stored errors in the error memory. A possible cause is identified as a defective cable connection to the BUS system, and a diagnostic check at a workshop is planned to confirm and resolve the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Sounds like a headache! I had similar issues with my old Renault Megane, though it was petrol, not hybrid. Random electrical gremlins, the kind that make you question everything. Did you check the basic stuff like the battery connections and fuses?

Thanks for the suggestion. I did check the fuses, and they seem to be in order. The battery connections appear solid as well. The problem isn't permanent; it disappears after some time. Could you provide more details on the errors you had with your Renault?

Yeah, mine were intermittent too. One minute everything was fine, the next the radio would cut out or the dashboard would light up like a Christmas tree. Turned out to be a dodgy connection somewhere in the main wiring harness. Best bet is probably get it hooked up to a proper diagnostic machine at a workshop. Saves a lot of guessing.

I appreciate the insight. Based on your experience and some further research, a defective cable connection to the BUS system is the likely cause. I'll schedule an appointment with the workshop for diagnostics and repair. Thanks, I'll let you know how it goes.
