Grandland X massage seat failure

I've got a 2019 Vauxhall Grandland X, gasoline engine, with about 37,472 km on the clock. The massage function on the driver's seat has stopped working. When I press the switch, absolutely nothing happens. No movement, no sound. I also hooked it up to a diagnostic tool and it's showing an error stored in the error memory related to the seat. Anyone experienced similar issues? I'm suspecting it could be a fuse, but I haven't had a chance to properly investigate yet.

I had a similar issue on my old BMW 5 series. The massage seat packed in and threw an error. I'd put money on it being a loose connection or a broken wire under the seat. Those things get a lot of movement. Have you checked the plugs and wiring harness under the seat itself? Any signs of damage?

Thanks for the tip! I haven't had a proper look yet, just a quick glance. When you say plugs and wiring harness, are there any specific areas I should be focusing on? Any particular connectors that are known to be problematic, or areas where the wires tend to rub and fray?

On the BMW, it was the main connector block under the seat. It seemed like the wires going into the block weren't seated properly, causing intermittent connection. Without being able to see your setup, it's hard to be definitive. If I were you, I would go to the workshop.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the shop. Turned out to be a faulty connector, like you suspected. They replaced the cable or plug connection, and it cost me 95€. The massage seat is working again now.
