Grandland X power window failure

I've got a 2020 Vauxhall Grandland X, diesel engine, and I'm having a weird issue with the power windows. They just stopped working after I replaced the battery. Now none of the windows will operate, and I've got an error code stored. I'm guessing it's something to do with the window regulator needing to be re-initialized, but I've tried a few things I found online and no luck. Has anyone else had this happen?

I had something similar happen on my Grandland X. Did you try holding the window switch up for a few seconds after the window is fully closed? Apparently, that sometimes resets the system. Otherwise, could be a dodgy window switch or even the window motor itself. Have you checked the fuses?

Yeah, I tried the holding-the-switch trick - didn't work unfortunately. Fuses are all good too. When you say 'similar', do you mean the windows stopped working completely after a battery change, and the holding trick didn't work for you either? I'm pulling my hair out here!

Yep, exactly the same issue. Holding the switch did nothing. In the end, I had to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly - something about needing to be properly re-initialised with their diagnostics tools, so might be worth considering if you're still stuck.

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like I'm fighting a losing battle on my own! I'll book it in at a local garage. They sorted the re-initialisation, and the power windows are working again. Cost me 290€, which is annoying, but at least it's fixed.
