Grandland X Windshield Washer Heater Fault

I've got a 2020 Vauxhall Grandland X with a diesel engine and I'm having a weird issue. My windshield washer heater seems to be on the fritz. I'm getting an error stored in the memory, and the spray nozzles are freezing up in this cold weather. I've checked the fuse box, but everything looks okay there. Anyone else experienced this?

I had something similar happen on my Grandland X. It was a faulty connection somewhere in the windshield heater circuit. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the heater itself?

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the windshield heater located? I'm not sure where to find the cable and plug you're talking about. Any pointers would be great. Is it accessible without taking half the car apart?

Okay, so I did some more digging in my files and the error memory also said something about cable or plug connection of the component defective. I couldn't find anything by myself and just decided to bring it to the workshop. In the end they told me that there was a bad connector somewhere. They replaced it for 95€. In my opinion you should go to the workshop as well. They know more about these things than you and I do.

Thanks a bunch for the info! Sounds like I'm better off letting the pros handle it. I'll book it in at the workshop and mention the connector issue. Hopefully, it will not be too expensive. It's fixed! Connector replaced for 95€.
