GrandlandX Airbag Warning Light

My 2017 Vauxhall GrandlandX with a gasoline engine is showing an airbag warning light. It's got 151733 km on the clock. The airbag warning lamp lights up in the speedometer and won't go away. I've read that it might be a cable or plug connection issue. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey, that's not ideal! I've heard of similar issues on other cars. Could be a loose connection or a faulty sensor. Have you checked any of the fuses related to the airbag system? Maybe start there before digging deeper.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check the fuses. If the fuses are all good, is there a way to pinpoint which cable or plug might be the problem? I don't want to start pulling things apart without a plan.

If the fuses are fine, honestly, without diagnostic tools, it's tough to say exactly which connector is the culprit. It could be under the seats, in the steering wheel, or even in the crash sensors at the front. You might be better off taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed to avoid making things worse. It could be a potential vehicle safety issue.

Cheers, I appreciate the advice. I checked the fuses, and they seemed fine. I'll take it to a workshop. They found a defective cable/plug connection and fixed it for 95€. All good now!
