GrandlandX temperature sensor AC issue

No overheating, the engine temp seems normal. It's purely the air con refusing to play ball and the error codes pointing towards this heat exchanger temperature sensor. Could a faulty sensor really shut down the whole AC system, especially if the engine itself is running cool?

Yeah, a faulty temp sensor can stop the AC from switching on as a safety measure. It’s likely the AC control unit. Best bet is to get it checked out at a workshop.

Cheers for the confirmation. Dropped it off at the garage, and turns out you were spot on. They reckon the air conditioning control unit is defective because of the temperature sensor heat exchanger. Quoted me 980€ for the whole job. Ouch! Thanks for the advice, would have been chasing ghosts otherwise.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my GrandlandX. Temperature sensor problems can definitely mess with the AC. Is the engine overheating, or just the AC not working?
