Greiz tire pressure warning

I've got a 2016 Honda Greiz with a gasoline engine and I'm dealing with a persistent tire pressure issue. The car has about 249312 km on it. The 'tire pressure too low' warning keeps popping up on the speedometer, and my reader confirms an error stored in the memory. I've checked the tire pressure multiple times, and they seem fine. Any ideas? Could it be the sensor?

Summary of the thread

A 2016 Honda Greiz owner is experiencing a persistent tire pressure warning despite the tires being properly inflated. The issue may be due to a faulty sensor or a dead sensor battery. After checking the tire pressure and valves, it was suggested to have the car professionally diagnosed. The problem was confirmed to be a dead sensor battery, which was replaced, resolving the warning issue.

Well, I had the exact same problem crop up in my Honda City – not sure what year yours is, but the systems are probably pretty similar. It drove me absolutely nuts! I kept checking the tires, inflating them, everything. I’m not a big expert, but did you check the air valve? Maybe there's something wrong with it?

Thanks for the tip! I haven't specifically checked the valves, just the overall pressure. So, you think it might be the valve itself causing the sensor to freak out? And was the issue in your car similar?

In my case, the valve was okay, but the error stayed. I also checked for any visible signs of a flat tire. Turns out, the sensor battery was empty. But that was confirmed by the workshop. My recommendation: do yourself a favour and get it properly diagnosed; otherwise, you'll just be spinning your wheels, so to speak. It is very important to get this checked before it becomes dangerous.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It looks like it might be the sensor, just like you said. I took it to the shop, and they confirmed the sensor battery was dead. Cost me around 280€ to replace it, but at least the error is gone now. I appreciate the insight!
