GS damping adjustment fault
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Lexus GS owner experienced a damping adjustment fault, indicated by an error in the memory and a warning light on the speedometer, resulting in a bumpy ride. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection. Another individual with a similar issue recommended professional diagnosis, which confirmed a cable problem. After repair, the ride quality was restored.

It's pretty constant, unfortunately. Just wondering, was your issue also intermittent at first or similar to mine?

Yeah, mine started out intermittent, but eventually became constant like yours. Honestly, I fiddled with it for a bit, but I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and save you a ton of time and frustration.

Thanks, appreciate the advice. Had it checked and you were spot on - cable issue! Repair cost was 95€. Back to smooth rides now.

Wow, that sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my GS. It was driving me crazy. Is it constantly bumpy, or does it come and go? It felt like I was riding a bucking bronco!
