GS Hybrid Brake Booster Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Lexus GS hybrid is experiencing braking issues, including weak braking, an error on the speedometer, and an intermittent ABS light. The problem is identified as a faulty brake booster pressure sensor, likely caused by an improper brake bleed. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle checked at a workshop due to the complexity of hybrid braking systems.

Yeah, the ABS light comes on sometimes. And the brake pedal feels… unsettling. Was it the brake booster pressure sensor? Any specific diagnostic code?

Yup, it was the brake booster pressure sensor. I messed up bleeding the brakes after replacing the pads. Get it checked at a workshop; hybrid brakes are complex.

You were right! The diagnostic confirmed it – brake booster pressure sensor, from a bad brake bleed. Cost me 90€. Thanks!

GS owner here! Sounds familiar. Did the ABS light come on? I had similar symptoms on my GS, it was a pain. Brake pedal feel weird?
