GT Roadster temperature sensor problem

Outside temperature sensor issue on my 2019 Mercedes GT Roadster Hybrid at 165981 km. Error code stored, AC won't kick on, spray nozzles are frozen when it's cold, and the mirror heating is MIA. I suspect a dodgy cable or plug. Has anyone seen this before?

I had similar symptoms on my GT Roadster. Check the wiring harness near the sensor itself. Corrosion can cause intermittent failures. If the wiring looks good, you might need a sensor replacement. What's the exact error code?

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check the harness. By 'near the sensor', do you mean where it connects to the bumper or further back into the engine bay? The error code is B102315. Do you remember what yours was?

Yes, check the connection right at the bumper. My error was similar, pointed to an open circuit. Given that and your symptoms, I'd lean towards a bad connection or faulty sensor. If visual inspection doesn't reveal anything obvious, consider having a shop perform a proper diagnosis. Sensor replacement should be pretty cheap.

Took your advice and checked the connection at the bumper. The plug looked fine, but I cleaned it anyway. No luck. I took it to the workshop. They confirmed it was the sensor. Temperature sensor replacement including labor cost 95€. Everything's working perfectly now. Thanks for the help!
