GT86 Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Toyota GT86 was experiencing engine stalling and a check engine light issue. The initial suspicion was a faulty tank ventilation valve. Another person suggested checking the hoses connected to the EVAP system, as they can become clogged or cracked, causing vacuum leaks. Upon inspection at a workshop, clogged hoses were confirmed as the problem, and replacing the ventilation valve and hoses resolved the issue.

Thanks for the info! Where exactly should I be looking for these hoses? Are they easy to get to?

They're a bit tricky to reach without a lift, kind of like trying to find a specific wire in a tangled mess. Honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly. Turns out mine were cracked and causing vacuum leak.

You were spot on! Took it to the shop, and they found the hoses were clogged. New ventilation valve and hoses, and it runs great again. Cost me 175€ Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I had a similar issue with my GT86. The check engine light kept appearing, and the idle was rough. Have you looked at the hoses connected to the EVAP system? Sometimes they get clogged like an old artery.
