GT86 Oil Level Sensor Error

I'm getting a weird error with my 2017 Toyota GT86 (gasoline engine). The oil level warning light keeps popping up on the dash, and the speedometer displays an error message. I checked the error memory, and it points to a faulty oil level sensor signal. The car has 82963 km on it. Could it be a defective sensor or something else? Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I just brought it to a workshop. They located a defective cable/plug connection, probably due to vibration. They quoted me 95€ for the repair, which seemed reasonable enough. Saved me a massive headache.
