GT86 Reduced Engine Power

I have a 2015 Toyota GT86, gasoline engine, with 90467 km. I'm experiencing reduced engine power, the check engine light is on, rough engine running, jerking when accelerating, and sometimes the engine stalls at idle. Could this be an oxygen sensor or spark plug issue? Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my old 2012 BMW 3 Series, although without the stalling. The check engine light could mean a lot of things. Have you checked for any error codes? Could also be related to the catalytic converter or even the throttle body. What does the error code say?

The error code points to a mixture preparation error. Does that fit with what you experienced? Is there anything else I can test?

Ah, a mixture preparation error. That wasn't exactly the code I had, but it does sound like it could be fuel-related. In my case, the dealer confirmed it was fuel injection problem. If your error code is solid, it might be best to take it to a trusted workshop before you cause more damage.

Thanks for the advice. It was indeed the injection valve/injector defective and I had it repaired for 515€. Hopefully, that's the end of it.
