GT86 Seat Heater Issue

My 2020 Toyota GT86 with a gasoline engine has an issue with the seat heater. It's not getting warm, and I pulled the error codes – there's an error stored related to the seat heating. Mileage is at 48856 km. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my GT86. Does it affect both seats or just one? When mine went, it was just the driver's side. Have you checked the fuses? That's the first thing I'd look at before assuming the worst.

It's just the driver's seat. I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. So, if it wasn't the fuses, what was the issue with yours?

Okay, just the driver's seat points to the heating mat itself being the problem. Mine was exactly the same. I ended up taking it to a workshop; they confirmed it was the mat and replaced it. Cost me about 390€. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it myself unless you're really confident with car electrics.
