GTR Reduced Engine Power Warning

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2015 Nissan GTR with a gasoline engine. Recently, the car started showing a 'Reduced engine power' warning, and I've got an error stored. I've tried clearing the fault code using a basic OBD2 scanner, but it comes back almost immediately. Has anyone experienced something similar? I'm worried it could be something serious.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my GTR a while back. I was getting the same 'Reduced engine power' message and a fault code that kept reappearing. Did you recently get any work done on the car or any modifications? Thinking car computer or maybe chip tuning?

That's interesting! Now that you mention it, I did have some chip tuning done by a third-party provider a few months ago to try and get some extra performance. Could that really be the culprit? What exactly happened with yours?

Yep, that's probably it. My issue turned out to be a faulty chip tuning job as well. It messed with the car's computer and caused all sorts of weird errors and reduced power. I'd suggest taking it to a reputable workshop to have them check the tuning and possibly revert it to the original settings. That's what I did, and it fixed the problem. Cost me around 180€ to get it sorted.

Okay, that's incredibly helpful! Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. I'll definitely take it to a workshop and have them look at the chip tuning. Hopefully, reverting it will solve the issue. Appreciate the help!
