GTR rough running and stalling

My 2013 Nissan GTR with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. It's got about 41733 km on it. Lately, it's been running rough, and the engine sometimes stalls when I'm idling. The check engine light is also on, and it jerks when I accelerate. I'm thinking it might be a bad ignition coil, maybe a cable or plug connection gone bad. Any thoughts?

I had a similar issue with my GTR. Rough running, hesitation... sounded like a misfire. Have you checked the coil packs? Sometimes a loose connection can cause havoc, like a bad spark plug in an old lawnmower. Does the problem happen consistently, or only under certain conditions?

Thanks for the reply! I've visually inspected the coil packs and wiring, but nothing obvious jumps out. It seems to happen more when the engine is warm, but it's not 100% consistent. Any specific area of the coil packs I should focus on?

Given that the issue worsens when warm and visual inspection didn't reveal anything, it might be an intermittent fault within the coil itself or deeper within the wiring harness. I'd advise taking it to a workshop with proper diagnostic tools. They can pinpoint the exact cylinder and root cause with more certainty. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Appreciate the advice. Took it to a shop, and turns out it was indeed a defective ignition coil. Cable or plug connection was faulty. Replaced it, and she's running smooth again. Total cost was 95€. Thanks!
