GTR transmission issues

I'm experiencing issues with my 2013 Nissan GTR's gasoline-powered automatic transmission. It has 144508 km on the clock. The shifting is behaving implausibly, the transmission indicator light is on, it doesn't shift as expected, and it's even gone into emergency mode. Could this be a hydraulic fluid or automatic gearbox issue? I've read that undervoltage in the vehicle might be the cause.

Hey, I also drive a GTR and had similar symptoms a while back. Were you by any chance getting the transmission light along with sluggish performance? Have you checked the transmission oil level?

Yes, exactly! The transmission indicator light comes on. Sluggish performance definitely describes it well. I have not checked the transmission oil level yet. Where exactly should I be looking, and is it a straightforward process?

Okay, sounds very much like what I went through. While checking the oil level is a good idea, my issue was beyond just low fluid. Given the emergency mode situation, you're likely looking at worn-out transmission oil. Best get it checked by a workshop before things get worse.

Thanks for the insights! The workshop confirmed it was indeed worn-out transmission oil related to undervoltage in the vehicle. A transmission flush and oil change sorted it out, costing 240€.
