Thanks for your input! The error code is P0087 - Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low. Any thoughts on what exactly to check or how to check it after the fuel filter housing?

The error code P0087 validates the suspicion of a fuel pressure deficiency. This may arise due to an insufficient fuel supply from the fuel pump or a pressure leak within the fuel rail assembly. Furthermore, a defective fuel pressure sensor could be generating inaccurate readings, thereby precipitating the observed symptoms. Given the potential complexities and the sensitivity of the system, I would strongly advise entrusting the diagnostic and rectification procedures to a qualified technician equipped with the requisite expertise and specialized tools. Otherwise you will cause a major damage!

Thanks a lot for your help and advice. I took it to the workshop, and you were right. Turns out, the fuel pressure regulator was defective, likely due to an error during the fuel filter change like I suspected. The repair cost me about 45€. It's running smoothly now!

Greetings. Your described symptoms—the check engine light illumination, engine stall during idle, and diminished engine power—strongly imply a potential malfunction within the fuel delivery system. Given your recent fuel filter replacement, it's plausible that a procedural error during the installation process may have introduced an anomaly. I would suggest meticulously inspecting the fuel filter housing and associated connections for any signs of improper sealing or compromised integrity. Given I had pretty much the same issues with my Lexus GX as well, could you provide the exact error code?
