H1 Lighting Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Hyundai H1 owner experienced erratic lighting behavior, with lights turning on randomly and the dashboard lighting up. An error code indicated a lighting fault, leading to speculation about a possible faulty cable or plug connection. Another individual shared a similar experience, suggesting the dimmer switch as a potential cause. Upon professional inspection, the issue was confirmed to be a defective light switch with a bad connection, which was subsequently repaired.

The dimmer switch, you say? That's interesting. Could you elaborate a bit more on that? What exactly was happening with your tail lights, and how did you pinpoint the dimmer switch as the culprit?

Yeah, the tail lights would flicker and sometimes not come on at all. The workshop traced it back to a faulty connection in the switch itself. Best to get it checked professionally; they'll know for sure.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was indeed a defective light switch with a bad connection. The repair cost me around 95€, but at least the nightmare is over! Thanks again for the help!

I had a similar issue with my H1. Was it the dimmer switch? The tail lights were acting up on mine.
