H1 rail pressure sensor fault
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a 2000 Hyundai H1 experiencing issues such as a check engine light, stalling at idle, and reduced power, with a diagnostic scan indicating a rail pressure sensor fault. The problem is suspected to be a defective sensor, possibly exacerbated by loose wiring connections. The suggested solution is to replace the sensor promptly to avoid further complications, which ultimately resolved the issue.

Good point about the wiring. I did a quick visual, but didn't go in-depth. When yours was playing up, was it consistently throwing the code, or was it intermittent? Trying to gauge how urgently I need to replace it. How did you solve the issue in the end?

Mine was pretty consistent once it started acting up, although sometimes it would seem fine for a short drive, then BAM, limp mode. I'd advise getting the sensor replaced sooner rather than later to prevent potential issues. I went straight to the workshop to avoid damaging any other parts.

Appreciate the insight! Sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order. Turns out the pressure sensor was defective. Cost me 240€ to get it sorted, but at least she's running smoothly again.

Sounds familiar. I had something similar with my H1. Not sure if it's the same year, but those symptoms and the rail pressure sensor code point in the same direction. Did you check the wiring to the sensor itself? Could be a loose connection throwing things off. It's like a dodgy light switch – the signal flickers.
