Hello, thanks for the quick reply. So you had to have the motor of the headlight cleaning system replaced. You've really helped me out there, maybe I have the same problem... Can you remember how much you paid for the repair? And did anything else not work afterwards or has everything been ok with your Seat Leon since then?

Hi, I'm glad I could help you. Yes, I had to have the engine replaced. Unfortunately it wasn't cheap, it cost me €625. But since then the wiper has been running like clockwork again and I've had no more problems. Have yours checked, maybe it's the same with you. By the way, it's true about the low wiper fluid level, but it wasn't a big deal. The mechanic fixed it straight away. So, don't worry, your Altea will get back on its feet! Keep your chin up!

Hey, thank you! 625 €, that's quite a lot, but I really want to get the problem under control. Thank you very much for the helpful information and encouragement. Your experience gives me hope that with my Altea it's only a question of time (and unfortunately money). I'll have it checked by the mechanic. And it's good to hear that your Leon is now running well again. Thanks again, buddy!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2009 Seat Leon, but in the end it wasn't the wiper fluid but the motor of the headlight cleaning system that had given up the ghost. It was a serious problem because the system has to work correctly to pass the MOT. In the end, I had to go to the garage and have the motor replaced. The same could be the case with you. Hope this helps you. Good luck with it!
