Heavy steering and vibration UrbanCruiser
Summary of the thread
The 2013 Toyota UrbanCruiser experienced heavy steering and significant wheel vibration, with the electronic stability control light illuminated. This issue was identified as a faulty steering angle sensor, likely due to incorrect coding. The recommended solution was to have the sensor checked and recalibrated at a workshop, which resolved the problem.

Yeah, the stability control light is on. Steering angle sensor, huh? How did you figure that out? And what exactly was it doing?

Well, the stability control light, combined with the increased steering effort, pointed to the angle sensor being off. Apparently, incorrect coding can cause the issue. I would suggest taking it to a reputable workshop to have the sensor checked and recalibrated, and ensure your wheel alignment is correct afterwards.

Thanks a bunch! Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – steering angle sensor. Coding was faulty. Cost me 195€, but it's all sorted now!

I had something similar happen on my UrbanCruiser. Is the electronic stability control light on? It could be a faulty steering angle sensor. That was my problem; definitely get it checked.
