I poked around, but I wasn't confident enough to mess with the airbag system. Vehicle safety is too important. I took it to a workshop; they found a bad connection and fixed it quickly.

Hey, I had something similar in my HHR. The SRS light was always on. I read it could be a loose connection or the sensor. Did you check the clock spring connection in the steering wheel?
