HHR Parking Aid Fault

My 2010 Chevrolet HHR, gasoline engine, is showing a parking aid fault. The parking assistant is non-functional, and the error memory has a fault code stored. From what I've read, a likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection within the system. Has anyone else experienced this issue and can offer pointers on checking the wiring harness?

Regarding your Chevrolet HHR's parking aid malfunction, have you observed any correlation between environmental factors, such as ambient temperature or moisture, and the manifestation of this issue? Is the vehicle has recently undergone any maintenance or repair procedures which may have inadvertently impacted the integrity of the parking aid system's wiring or sensor placements? Can you elaborate on the specific error code retrieved from the error memory?

I haven't noticed any correlation with weather conditions. The vehicle hasn't had any recent work done either. I don't have the specific error code at hand, but it pointed towards a general malfunction in the parking sensor circuit. What specific areas of the wiring harness or sensor connectors are prone to failure on these?

Given the absence of environmental factors and recent maintenance as potential catalysts for the parking aid issue in your Chevrolet HHR, and in light of the generalized error code pertaining to the parking sensor circuit, it is advisable to pursue a systematic diagnostic approach. Without more granular data it's hard to say. Consulting with a qualified automotive technician at a reputable workshop is often the most judicious course of action.

Thanks for the input. I had the wiring checked at a local shop; as suspected, it was a corroded connector to one of the sensors. Repair cost was 95€. Issue resolved.
