Hiace AC control unit failure

Refrigerant levels seem fine, no obvious leaks. I haven't checked for power at the compressor yet, but the error code points towards the control unit. Was your issue eventually the compressor itself or something else?

Okay, if levels are fine and you suspect electrical then yeah, could be the control unit. Mine turned out to be a faulty AC compressor. Basically, the clutch inside the compressor that engages it died. I'd get it checked by a workshop. They can properly diagnose if it's the compressor, the control unit, or something else.

Thanks for the info! Took it to a workshop and you were right, the AC control unit was defective, leading to refrigerant compressor failure. Repair cost me 980€.

Ugh, AC issues are the worst! I had similar problems with my Hiace: no cold air, warning lights... Did you check the refrigerant levels? Sometimes a leak can cause the compressor to not kick in, but honestly the symptoms do sound electrical. Is the compressor actually getting power?
