Hiace power windows failure

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with my 2011 Toyota Hiace (gasoline engine). The power windows suddenly stopped working after I replaced the battery. Now, I can't operate any of the windows, and there's an error stored in the memory. I suspect it's a window regulator initialization issue, but is there anything I can do myself before visiting a mechanic? Has anyone experienced a similar problem after a battery replacement?

I had something similar happen in my Hiace. Did you try to reset the window motor? Maybe you have to remove the door panel first?

Thanks! I didn't try resetting the window motor directly. Could you elaborate on what you did? And what do you mean by removing the door panel first? Is it necessary for the reset procedure?

Yeah, I had to do it like that. But maybe it's just best to go to the workshop. It's probably a car electronics thing.

Thanks for the advice! I ended up taking it to a workshop, and you were right. They had to re-initialize the window regulators. Cost me 290€, but at least the windows work again!
