Highlander Defective Throttle Valve

Experiencing reduced engine power and check engine light on my 2015 Toyota Highlander with a gasoline engine at 108127 km. Diagnostics suggest a defective throttle valve, possibly from the accelerator pedal module. Anyone else had this?

Interesting. I had a similar problem with my 2017 Volvo XC60. Limp mode kicked in repeatedly. Have you checked the air intake and air flow to the throttle body? Is it possible there's a blockage?

Thanks, I'll check the air intake and flow. Did you also get a diagnostic code specifically for the throttle valve?

My codes were ambiguous, pointing to general air flow issues, not a specific throttle valve fault. With your specific code and symptoms, a workshop confirmation is probably best. It could save time and further issues.

Understood. Following your advice and a workshop inspection, the throttle valve was indeed defective. The repair was 265€. The vehicle is now working perfectly.
