Highlander Heating Issue

Hey, I'm having some trouble with my 2012 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I've noticed the heating isn't working as well as it should - output is way too low. I scanned for error codes and found one related to the defrost air distribution flap. I'm guessing the cable or plug connection of the component is defective. Anyone else experienced this?

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same thing happen in my Highlander - not a hybrid, though. The climate control was acting up, and the heat was barely working. Did you check the dashboard panel? I had an issue with the HVAC unit.

Honestly, I tried poking around a bit, but I didn't want to mess anything up worse. The ventilation system seemed okay, and the blower motor was running, so I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was a defective connection, and they replaced it. It cost me about 100€ plus tax. You should go to the workshop.

Thanks for the advice! I was hoping it would be a simple fix, but it sounds like a trip to the shop is the best bet. I got a similar quote (95€) from my local workshop, so I'll probably just get them to take care of it.
