Highlander Hybrid Power Window Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. After replacing the battery, the power windows stopped working. It's throwing an error about window regulator initialization. Anyone else run into this? Maybe it's a window switch or a reset thing.

That's a bummer. I've heard of similar issues after battery swaps in some Toyotas. Have you tried the basic window reset? Hold the switch down after the window is fully lowered, then hold it up after it's fully raised. Worth a shot.

Thanks, I tried that reset procedure, but no luck. Is there a specific timing or sequence needed, or something else I should check?

If the standard reset isn't working, it probably needs initialization with diagnostic equipment. The error memory points to that. A workshop visit is likely needed. They'll connect and force the window regulator to relearn its limits. Good luck!

Thanks, I took it to a local shop, and they re-initialized the window regulators with their tool. Cost 290€. The battery replacement made the system lose its window position memory. Appreciate the help.
