Honda Amaze Engine Stalling and Power Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Honda Amaze with a gasoline engine is experiencing stalling when idling, power loss, and an illuminated check engine light. These issues could be caused by a misfire or a defective high pressure fuel pump, leading to insufficient fuel delivery. The suggested solution is to have a trusted mechanic diagnose and repair the problem, which was confirmed to be a defective fuel volume regulator likely due to a faulty high pressure pump.

No recent fuel system work. I'm not even sure where the fuel filter is. Could a bad high pressure pump really cause all these problems at once?

A defective high pressure fuel pump can indeed cause the symptoms you're experiencing. The stalling and loss of power would be consistent with insufficient fuel delivery. Given the symptoms, and your lack of familiarity with the fuel system, I'd advise taking it to a trusted mechanic to properly diagnose the issue. You will save time and money in the long run.

Thanks, that confirms my suspicion. I took it to a workshop, and they said the fuel volume regulator was defective, likely due to a faulty high pressure pump. The repair is going to cost me 1510€.

It sounds like an engine management issue. Has the car had any recent maintenance, specifically anything related to the fuel system? When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? It is possible that there are issues with the high pressure fuel pump, but it is hard to tell without a proper diagnosis.
